Vintage Prewar B-70 Mesinger Saddle / Seat for Schwinn Balloon Tire Cruiser Bicycles This seat is Decent Original Vintage Mesinger B-70 Prewar Saddle with Crash tabs. This B Series Flat Sliding Rail Saddle was the Main Seat for Vintage Prewar Schwinn Balloon Tire Bicycles, also used on the early post war Schwinn ballooner bikes. B-70 is similar to a Deluxe B-1 but lacks a full spring set, mainly used on Second tier bikes like DX, Model C, and Non Tanked Basic Models. This full size Mens B Series Saddle Top Measures approximately 11 1/4" long - front to back and 9" wide - side to side at it's longest points. Seat is Used and a decent survivor, Nice original cloth top with crash tabs, it has some thinning and rips on the on the rear edge and wear spots on the nose, saddle stamped B-70 Mesinger Patent 18 1926, top is is ride worthy but extensive use would not be suggested. Seat has fairly good 5/8" clamp that shows wear. The spring set is rusty and has paint loss. Spring set needs cleaning.
